Julie began her real estate career at the age of 18 after graduating from East Windsor High School. She was hired by Wallace-Tustin Realty to implement a marketing program and assist around the office. After a few months of employment, she decided real estate was the career for her. While on summer breaks from college, Julie sold multiple homes in Hartford County. Her senior year of college she broadened her real estate perspective by interning at MG Commercial, a commercial real estate firm in Providence, Rhode Island. After graduating from Bryant University, she decided to follow her passion and continue her career in real estate. She obtained the GRI designation in 2007. In addition, she has completed Appraisal 1 and the e-PRO Certification. Spring of 2008 she obtained her CT real estate broker’s license. I was born in Manchester, CT and have lived in CT all of my life. I have resided in Manchester, South Windsor and Ellington (Ellington for the past 18 years). Therefore, I have an extensive knowledge of the markets and trends of this area. I was a previous owner of a service company which covered (mostly) the Greater Hartford area. I was in the same business for over 30 years. We employed over 100 people from this area. My duties included all aspects of business, most importantly contracted sales. Laurie Diwinsky is proud to represent buyers & sellers in the Greater Hartford area. In 1992, Laurie received her paralegal certificate and went on to work as a paralegal in civil litigation for 25 years, and most recently as an editor for court transcripts through Advanced Court Reporting. In addition to working in the legal field, Laurie achieved her second-degree black belt in Kyokushin karate and opened her own dojo in 2002 which was in operation until 2010. She also taught women’s self-defense classes regularly and competed in the Kyokushin World Tournament in Budapest, Hungary in 2008. Laurie lives with her family in Ellington, CT.
